In Nepal, the women still face the weight of gender based discrimination, child marriage, violence, girl trafficking, illegal migration among other serious issues. The echoes of their silent struggles exist in the shadows of a patriarchal society that confines them to mere household roles, taking away their freedom and basic rights to education, health facilities, and economic freedom.
Nepal Secretariat of Skills and Training (NSST) has been actively working since its establishment to create opportunities for the women coming from diverse backgrounds and regions of Nepal to break the stereotypes by assisting them with soft skills training for their self development. We are currently training a third batch of youths among which majority being women breaking the cycle of patriarchy existing in the country to create the life of their dreams.
As an established profit non-distributing organization, the Nepal Secretariat of Skills and Training (NSST) is dedicated to assisting Nepalese women in achieving self-reliance and independence. Through soft skills training sessions, the organization creates the way for women to start on an apprenticeship journey and build a career path of their choice.
